Meet Mojo, the Blue and Gold Macaw

Now we can see the Blue and Gold Macaw exhibit, home to Mojo. The blue and gold macaws are one of the world's most colorful birds. These birds are very playful, inquisitive, intelligent, and willing to learn. They can also mimic human vocalization very well. These birds can be found in Mexico, Central America, and Northern South America. Blue and Gold Macaws are generally seen in pairs but may form flocks of up to 30 birds. They can live up to 70 years of age, and their incredibly strong beaks are perfectly adapted for eating all sorts of nuts and seeds.  When the temperature goes below 55 degrees, the Macaws move into the main building.
